ChemE Construction Inc. was hired to build this garden deck under certain constraints.  No digging was allowed due to an adjacent coy pond and to make sure the roots of a pecan tree remained undisturbed.  The deck also had to fit within the existing landscaping without interfering with a paved walkway.  The result was this unique shaped, suspended deck with a triangular landing.  After staining, it blended in nicely with the flower garden and was large enough for entertaining.

After building the rear addition, ChemE Construction Inc. constructed this 800 s.f. deck just in time for our customer's annual pool party.  It featured 3 tiers of deck surface, 2 staircases, a 16' bench, and a self latching gate.  A retaining wall, catch basin, and drain lines were installed to prevent erosion and properly channel rain water.  6"x6" posts were notched to support the deck and continued upward to become part of the railing.  Double rim joists, over-sized lumber, joist hangers, and lag bolts ensured this deck was built to last.  The only nails used in this project were to secure the joist hangers.  After completion, the kitchen window was replaced with an exterior door leading to the upper deck.

ChemE Construction Inc. built this railing for our customer's existing deck.  Black aluminum ballusters and vertical trim boards combined for a unique look.  Post caps were installed and we custom made pressure treated trim for the bases.  We built a new staircase with gate, added benches, and installed lighting to the staircase risers.  We also installed lattice to enclose the underside and built matching french doors for accessibility.

ChemE Construction Inc. was contracted to add a staircase and gate to this second level deck.  The homeowner previously had no way of getting from the deck to the back yard.  We built the stairs, railing, and gate to match the existing design.  A concrete footing was poured beneath the first tread and the stringers were reinforced to eliminate bounce.

ChemE Construction Inc. was hired to expand this second level deck.  We removed the previous railing, staircase, and deck boards.  New posts were set as we expanded the deck an additional 200 s.f.  A landing, 2 staircases, 2 gates, and designer railing were also added.  Double rim joists,  joist hangers, lag bolts, reinforced stringers, and deck screws lead to a solid deck surface.  Solar powered post caps added the finishing touch.
